Welcome to The Quilting Critter Web Site!!!

My love of quilting came quite by accident.   When I began this adventure, I could barely operate a sewing machine with any sense of expertise, much less sew a straight seam!  But with great determination, and more than just a little encouragement from my husband, I continued with my somewhat hapless endeavors.  In time I was able to piece a block that was even square!

I often take out and inspect those first blocks that I made (I still have each and every one of them), and remember, even with all of their imperfections, how much love went into making them. That was so many years ago, and my love of quilt making continues to grow.  The process gives me so much satisfaction and gratification.

The quilts you find displayed here are what I call my "toddler quilts," perhaps, a better choice of words would be "beginner quilts."  These quilts can be used as household and/or office decorator items, or for what the smaller quilts were originally intended, as pet bed quilts.  Honest!  My cats have had their own quilts for several years.  And, they love them.  All of the quilts are machine washable on a gentle wash setting and dried on a low heat drying cycle.

I have several other quilts that are in various stages of completion, and these will be posted as they are completed. The quilts that will be added shortly are all wall-hangings.

I hope that you have enjoyed your visit here.  Please bookmark The Quilting Critter web site, because, as I stated earlier, new quilts/products will be added regularly. You are also welcome to e-mail me with any questions and/or special requests that might come-to-mind.

May your days be filled with peace-of-mind and contentment.

Judy,
The Quilting Critter

My Mission:

It is my mission to share my love of quilting with others, and hopefully add a small portion of love and beauty to their homes. But most of all, my mission is to honor my husband. He was the most devoted fan of my quilting endeavors and lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.

Anyone with an allergy to cats, cat hair, or cat dander must be aware that the environment in which the quilts are made does contain these allergens.  No amount of vacuuming can keep the area clean of these allergens.
